General

What is CSSAwwwards?
CSSAwwwards is an independent, hand-curated directory of CSS tools, snippets, frameworks, and resources for frontend developers. Every listing is reviewed manually by our editorial team before it goes live — we don't auto-import or accept every submission.
Who is CSSAwwwards for?
CSSAwwwards is for frontend developers, UI engineers, web designers, and anyone who writes CSS professionally or as a hobby. If you want to find high-quality CSS tools without trawling through outdated lists, this directory is for you.
Is CSSAwwwards free to use?
Yes. Browsing the directory, reading the blog, using the tools, and submitting a standard listing are all free. Featured listings and featured job postings are paid services with clearly stated pricing.
Is CSSAwwwards affiliated with Awwwards.com?
No. CSSAwwwards is a completely independent platform with no affiliation, partnership, endorsement, or connection to Awwwards.com or its parent company. The word 'Awwwards' in our name is a stylised spelling of 'awards' and does not imply any relationship with the Awwwards brand.
How is CSSAwwwards different from other CSS directories?
Most CSS tool lists are auto-generated or accept everything submitted. CSSAwwwards uses editorial curation — every tool is opened, evaluated for quality and relevance, and listed only if it meets our standards. We also cover CSS snippets, a jobs board, and an editorial blog, making it a more complete resource for frontend developers.

Submitting a Tool

How do I submit a CSS tool?
Visit the Submit a Tool page and fill in the form with your tool's name, URL, category, description, and contact email. Standard submissions are free. Featured submissions ($29 one-time) receive priority review and prominent placement in the directory.
What kinds of tools are accepted?
We accept CSS generators, playgrounds, frameworks, utility libraries, preprocessors, animation tools, colour tools, typography tools, layout helpers, and any other tool that is primarily useful for writing or working with CSS. Tools must be live, functional, and genuinely useful — not abandoned projects, broken links, or thin wrappers around existing tools.
How long does the review process take?
Standard listings are reviewed within 7 days. Featured listings receive priority review and are typically reviewed within 1–3 business days. During busy periods, times may be slightly longer — we'll always notify you of the outcome.
What is a Featured listing?
Featured listings ($29 one-time) appear prominently in the directory with a featured badge, receive priority editorial review, and are indexed by search engines. Standard listings are free, reviewed within 7 days, and are not individually indexed by search engines by default.
What happens if my tool is rejected?
If your submission is declined, you'll receive an email with a brief reason. You're welcome to address the feedback and resubmit. If you paid for a featured listing and it is rejected, you will receive a full refund.
Can I edit my submission after submitting?
You cannot edit a pending submission directly. If you need to update details before it's reviewed, email us at contact@cssawwwards.com with your submission details. Once a tool is live, you can request edits by emailing us.
Does having a CSSAwwwards badge on my site affect review priority?
Yes. Submissions from sites that display a CSSAwwwards badge (a backlink to cssawwwards.com) are flagged for priority review. It's not a guarantee of approval, but it does move your submission up the review queue. You can get the badge code at cssawwwards.com/badge.

CSS Snippets

What is the CSS Snippets section?
The CSS Snippets section is a community-contributed library of practical, copy-paste CSS code snippets. It covers UI components, animations, layout patterns, typography, custom scrollbars, and more — all categorised and searchable.
Are the snippets free to use in my projects?
The snippets are shared for educational and practical use. You may use them in personal and commercial projects. Please check individual snippet notes for any specific attribution requirements. CSSAwwwards does not claim ownership of the underlying CSS techniques themselves.
How do I submit a CSS snippet?
Visit the Submit a CSS Snippet page. Submissions must be original work (not copied from other sources without permission), include a title, description, category, and clean CSS code. All snippets are reviewed before publishing and typically appear within 1–3 days of approval.
Can I submit snippets that use CSS preprocessors like Sass or Less?
We primarily accept plain CSS snippets. Snippets that rely heavily on a preprocessor should include the compiled CSS output as well, so they are immediately usable without a build step.

Jobs Board

How do I post a job listing?
Visit the Post a Job page. Standard listings are free and active for 15 days. Featured listings ($49) are active for 60 days, appear at the top of results, and are indexed by search engines. All listings are reviewed before going live.
How long does a job listing stay live?
Standard listings are active for 15 days from the date of approval. Featured listings are active for 60 days. After expiry, listings are automatically removed from the directory. You can repost at any time.
What is the difference between a standard and featured job listing?
Standard listings are free, last 15 days, are not indexed by search engines, and are reviewed within 7 days. Featured listings cost $49, last 60 days, appear prominently in search results and at the top of the jobs page, are indexed by search engines, and are reviewed within 24 hours.
Are standard job listings indexed by Google?
No. Standard (free) listings carry a noindex directive and are not individually indexed by search engines. This is by design — it keeps the free tier accessible while differentiating it from the paid tier. Featured listings are fully indexed.
What types of jobs can be listed?
We accept roles that are primarily or significantly CSS/frontend-focused — frontend engineers, UI developers, CSS architects, web designers, full-stack roles with a strong frontend component, and similar positions. Roles with no CSS or frontend element will not be approved.
What is your refund policy for job listings?
If a featured job listing is rejected by our editorial team, you will receive a full refund. If a listing is approved and goes live, no refund is available — the listing will remain active for its full duration. If you need to remove an approved listing early, please contact us.

Badge Program

What is the CSSAwwwards badge?
The CSSAwwwards badge is a small image you can add to your website to show visitors that your tool, snippet, or job listing is featured on CSSAwwwards. It links back to cssawwwards.com. Four variants are available: listed (full size) and compact, each in light and dark versions.
Where do I get the badge code?
Visit cssawwwards.com/badge to preview all badge variants and copy the HTML or Markdown embed code. No account or approval is needed to display a badge — it's open to anyone who has submitted to CSSAwwwards.
Does the badge guarantee my submission will be approved?
No. The badge signals goodwill and moves your submission up the review queue for priority consideration, but all submissions must meet our editorial quality standards to be approved. Displaying a badge does not bypass the review process.
Is there any tracking in the badge?
No. The badge is a static SVG image file. There are no tracking pixels, no analytics scripts, and no third-party code. It is simply a linked image — nothing more.
