Terms of Service
Effective 2 June 2025 · Last updated 4 June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CSSAwwwards at https://cssawwwards.com(the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service, including developers browsing CSS tools, employers posting job listings, and contributors submitting CSS snippets. CSSAwwwards reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
CSSAwwwards is a curated platform for frontend developers. The Service includes:
- A searchable, filterable directory of third-party CSS tools, generators, and libraries
- A community CSS Snippets library — curated and community-submitted CSS code patterns
- A Jobs board where employers can post frontend and full-stack developer roles
- Free interactive mini-tools built and hosted by CSSAwwwards (the "Frontend Toolkit")
- Educational blog articles about CSS techniques and tools
- An optional weekly email newsletter
- Submission portals for community tools, CSS snippets, and job listings
The Service is provided free of charge (with optional paid featured job listings) with no registration required for core browsing functionality.
3. Use of CSSAwwwards-Built Tools
3.1 Licence to Use Generated CSS
The CSS code generated by any interactive tool on CSSAwwwards (gradient generators, shadow builders, button generators, etc.) is entirely yours. You may use generated CSS in any project — personal, commercial, open-source, or proprietary — without restriction, attribution, or payment.
3.2 Permitted Use
You may freely:
- Use any tool on CSSAwwwards for personal or commercial projects
- Copy, modify, and distribute the CSS output from our tools
- Share links to CSSAwwwards tools with colleagues, students, or communities
- Embed links to CSSAwwwards in articles, videos, or educational content
3.3 Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Systematically scrape, crawl, or mirror the CSSAwwwards tool interface or directory data without prior written permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy our tool implementations for re-publication as a competing service
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or damage the Service or its servers
- Use automated tools to submit false, misleading, or low-quality content
- Misrepresent your affiliation with CSSAwwwards or impersonate the CSSAwwwards brand
4. Third-Party Tools in the Directory
CSSAwwwards links to tools created and maintained by third parties. We curate these links to help developers discover quality resources, but we do not own, operate, or control any third-party tool.
- CSSAwwwards is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, or functionality of any third-party tool
- Inclusion of a tool in our directory does not constitute an endorsement of the tool, its creators, or their business practices
- Third-party tools may change, deprecate, or add paid tiers at any time without notice to us
- Your use of any third-party tool is governed by that tool's own terms of service and privacy policy
5. Tool Submissions
By submitting a CSS tool to the CSSAwwwards directory, you confirm that:
- You have the right to submit the tool (you are the creator, maintainer, or have explicit permission)
- The tool does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights
- The tool does not contain malware, phishing content, or anything designed to harm users
- The tool description and details you provide are accurate and not misleading
CSSAwwwards reserves the right to accept, reject, or remove any submission at its sole discretion. Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the directory.
6. CSS Snippet Submissions
6.1 Originality & Ownership
By submitting a CSS snippet to the CSSAwwwards Snippets library, you confirm that:
- The snippet is your own original work, or you have the explicit right to share it under an open licence
- The snippet does not reproduce copyrighted code from another source without appropriate attribution or licence
- The snippet does not contain malicious code, obfuscated scripts, or anything designed to harm users who copy and apply it
- The description, title, and category you provide are accurate
6.2 Licence Grant
By submitting a snippet, you grant CSSAwwwards a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to display, format, and distribute the snippet on the website and in any associated promotional material (newsletter, social media, etc.). You retain full ownership of your code.
CSS snippets published on CSSAwwwards are made available to other developers for use in their own projects. By submitting, you acknowledge and agree that visitors may freely copy and use your snippet code.
6.3 Removal Requests
If you submitted a snippet and wish to have it removed from the library, contact us at contact@cssawwwards.com. We will process removal requests within 14 days. Note that snippet code may have been copied by other users prior to removal; we cannot control use of code after it has been viewed.
6.4 Moderation
CSSAwwwards reviews all snippet submissions before publishing. We reserve the right to reject, edit for formatting, or remove any snippet that violates these Terms, is of low quality, or is not relevant to CSS/frontend development.
7. Job Board & Listings
7.1 Nature of the Service
CSSAwwwards operates a job listing board as a platform connecting employers with frontend and full-stack developers. CSSAwwwards is a listing platform only — we are not a recruitment agency, staffing firm, or employment intermediary. We do not participate in the hiring process, conduct background checks, verify the identity of employers or job seekers, or guarantee any employment outcome.
7.2 Employer Obligations
By posting a job listing on CSSAwwwards, you (the employer or authorised representative) confirm that:
- You are an authorised representative of the company named in the listing
- The job listing describes a genuine, open position that exists at the time of submission
- All information in the listing (title, company, location, salary, job type, description) is accurate and not misleading
- The application URL or email address provided is valid and will be monitored for applications
- The listing does not violate any applicable employment, anti-discrimination, or advertising laws
- The listing does not contain spam, phishing links, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing content
- The role does not require applicants to pay fees of any kind
7.3 Listing Duration & Expiry
Standard (free) listings are active for 15 days from the date of approval. Featured listings are active for 60 days from the date of approval. After the active period, listings are automatically removed from the public jobs feed. CSSAwwwards reserves the right to remove any listing at any time if it violates these Terms.
7.4 Search Engine Indexing
Standard (free) job listings carry a "noindex" directive and are not indexed by search engines. Featured listings are indexed by search engines and may appear in search results. CSSAwwwards does not guarantee any specific level of search visibility for any listing.
7.5 Featured Listing Fees & Refund Policy
Featured job listings are offered for a one-time fee of $49 USD per listing. Payment is processed through our third-party payment provider. By paying for a featured listing you agree to the following:
- Fees are non-refundable once your listing has been reviewed and approved
- If your listing is rejected after payment, a full refund will be issued within 5 business days
- If you request removal of an approved featured listing before it expires, no refund is issued for the remaining listing period
- CSSAwwwards does not guarantee any number of applications, views, or hires from a featured listing
7.6 Review Period
Standard listings are reviewed within 7 days. Featured listings are reviewed within 24 hours. These are target timeframes and are not guaranteed. CSSAwwwards will contact you at the email address you provided if your listing requires changes before approval.
7.7 No Employment Relationship
CSSAwwwards is not a party to any employment contract, freelance agreement, or other arrangement between an employer and a job seeker. Any hiring decisions, salary negotiations, background checks, and employment terms are entirely the responsibility of the employer and candidate. CSSAwwwards has no liability for any outcome arising from a connection made through the jobs board.
7.8 Job Seeker Responsibility
Job seekers using the CSSAwwwards jobs board are responsible for exercising their own due diligence before applying to or accepting any position. CSSAwwwards does not verify the identity, legitimacy, or financial standing of any employer listed on the platform. If you believe a listing is fraudulent or misleading, please report it to contact@cssawwwards.com.

8.2 Your Submitted Content
Any CSS, designs, or creative output you produce using our tools belongs entirely to you. By submitting tool details, CSS snippets, or job listings to CSSAwwwards, you grant CSSAwwwards a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display the submitted content (tool name, snippet code, job details, etc.) on the website and in promotional material, as described in the relevant sections above.
8.3 Third-Party Intellectual Property
If you believe any content on CSSAwwwards infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at contact@cssawwwards.com with details of the alleged infringement. We will investigate and take appropriate action, including removal of infringing content where warranted.
